The peated malt distilled at Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull is called Ledaig, and this expression was aged for at least 10 years in ex-bourbon casks before bottling without chill filtration or color added at 96.2 proof. The nose features smoky, earthy peat along with tropical fruit, caramel, and cocoa. On the palate, earthy peat is front and center with supporting flavors of caramel, toasted marshmallow, and charred pineapple. The finish leaves tastes of smoke and peat along with clove spice and dark chocolate.
