A traditional Highland producer, Glencadam Distillery has experienced a renaissance since Angus Dundee took over operations in the early 2000s. The 15 Year Single Malt is matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks and bottled without chill filtration or added color at 46% abv. The nose shows an oily vanilla with notes of apple, white pepper, sweet malt, and dry ginger. On the palate, caramel and sweet apple transition to grassy mint, cherry, and a touch of pepper spice. The medium length finish leaves vanilla, honey, and baking spice lingering.
