This old driving bit is made of a nickel alloy called "Kangaroo" which has a high copper content. This alloy was developed by John Dewsbury in the 19th century.
It has a straight bar mouth which is reversible or half-twisted or ridged on one side. The mouthpiece is stamped "Kangaroo".
The curved cheeks have two rein slots for the attachment of the curb rein.
There is an angled shackle bar.
