A graceful late 18th-century creamware sauceboat, attributable to Leeds Pottery. The form is the classic double-lipped sauceboat shape of the period, with a loop handle set high on the body and a low spreading foot.
The piece has a delicacy of potting that distinguishes Leeds from the heavier provincial wares of the same period.
In excellent condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. A rare example in this quality.
Length 20cm. Height 11cm.
